Lens coatings can feel like a long list of add-ons. Thinking about how you use your glasses makes the choice easier.

Already included

Every Lumora prescription lens includes a scratch-resistant hard coat and UV protection, so you do not need to add them.

Worth considering

  • Anti-reflective: reduces reflections on the lens. Popular with people on video calls, driving at night or who simply want their eyes visible in photos.
  • Blue-light filter: filters part of the blue-violet light. Some people prefer the slightly warmer view; it is not proven to prevent eye strain.
  • Photochromic: darkens outdoors, clears indoors. Handy if you move between the two often.

For sunglasses

  • Tints in gray, brown or green.
  • Polarized filtering to cut reflected glare.
  • Mirror finishes for style and extra light reduction.

Combinations

Some treatments cannot be combined — a fixed tint and a photochromic treatment, for example. The lens builder only offers compatible combinations and shows the price of each option.
