A round face has similar width and length, full cheeks and a softly curved jawline. Angular frames add definition and can make the face appear slightly longer.
How to tell if you have a round face
- Pull your hair back and stand facing a mirror in good light.
- Trace the outline of your face on the mirror with a washable marker, or take a straight-on photo.
- Compare the width of your forehead, cheekbones and jaw, and the overall length of your face.
Frame shapes to try
Rectangle frames
Horizontal lines lengthen and define.
Square frames
Corners contrast with soft curves.
Browline frames
A strong top line adds structure.
Approach with care
Small, perfectly round frames can repeat the face shape rather than balance it.
Face shape is a starting point, not a rule. Fit, colour and personal style matter just as much — if you love a frame, try it with our Virtual Try-On.
Fit still comes first
Whatever the shape, the frame should be roughly as wide as your face, your eyes should sit near the centre of each lens, and the temples should rest on your ears without pinching. See our frame measurement guide for numbers to compare.
